33 local teachers recognized by the district for their excellent education San Diego County Teachers of the Year..

Five people are the 31st annual “Cocks Presents: Respect for Teachers.. National TV Personality and San Diego Magazine Food Writer Troy JohnsonNative San Diegan, who participated in both Carmel Mountain and Poway High, will host the night.

In partnership with San Diego County Education Department, Cox Communications will create a one-hour television special to recognize local teachers, spotlight this year’s teachers, and share the highlights of the reception. The show will air on October 17th at 9pm. YurView network (High resolution Cox channels 4 and 1004).

Published by the San Diego County Credit Union, Cox Presents: Salute to Teachers recognizes 26,000 public school teachers in the county and features music and dance performances by local students. The region while competing for the honor of California’s Teacher of the Year.

31 years Cox CommunicationsWorked with the County Department of Education to produce and air “Cox Presents: Salute to Teachers” to honor the students and teaching profession of San Diego County public school teachers. In addition to SDCCU, sponsors include Procopio, KPBS, iHeart Radio, The Mightier 1090, and San Diego Union-Tribune.
