Local pianist Melissa Evans Tierra will perform virtual concert, Compassion for a Modern World. The online concert will feature music exclusively by living composers. The program includes: ‘Modetudes’ by Dobrinka Tabakova, ‘Two Impromptus’ by Lowell Liebermann, ‘Compassion’ by Julia Wolfe, ‘Hyperspace Sonata Mvt. 1’ and ‘Wistful Slumber’ by Chetan Tierra. The concert will begin with a pre-concert talk with more in-depth information on the music and composers.
