Join Solana Center for a 1-hour webinar demonstrating the management of a mid-scale windrow compost for farms and ranches with significant quantities of organic materials, including manure. This webinar will address how mid-scale composting protects your local watershed and produces a fantastic soil amendment by preventing unsightly fly breeding and health issues for livestock. Attendees will also enjoy a virtual visit to Ramona’s International Equestrian Center to watch a windrow compost pile build in process and visit with site manager, Nancy Zadrozny. Nancy is a 33-year resident of San Diego Country Estates (the Estates) and the manager of the Estates’ Equestrian Centers and Landscape Department. This webinar is offered in partnership with the San Diego County Farm Bureau and funded by the County of San Diego as a 4-part composting series. These webinars are intended for residents of unincorporated County, however anyone may attend. The webinar recording will be available for 7 days after the live presentation to unincorporated County residents only. email [email protected]
