The Burnham-Moores Center of Real Estate at the University of San Diego School of Business is welcoming the founding partner of Macro Trends Advisors, LCC, Mitch Roschelle as a visiting research fellow within the real estate program.

The center will utilize Roschelle’s expertise in real estate, corporate finance and capital markets as a guest lecturer in graduate and undergraduate real estate courses and provide updates on emerging trends in real estate and product types. He will also moderate panels at real estate events and work closely with faculty and select groups of students.

“I am excited to collaborate with students and faculty alike in the development of cutting edge applied research projects,” Roschelle said.

Roschelle has more than 35 years of experience serving a wide array of real estate investors, foreign and domestic and is a widely-recognized commentator on real estate, housing, public policy, business trends, capital markets and the economy.

The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation has announced a new community board member Louie Nguyen, CFA who adds to their dedication to economic development in Southeastern San Diego. In addition, the organization has announced the promotion of Christie Marcella to executive director to build on the critical work the center is doing. Also, Selina Castillo Hudgins has been announced as the new director of development operations and institutional advancement.

For 26 years, the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation has been focused on building communities as a creative catalyst and incubator. Its work to revitalize Southeastern San Diego’s Diamond Neighborhoods has meant transforming nearly 60 acres into sustainable developments that provide residents with greater access to resources and amenities to improve their quality of life.

The San Diego Symphony has appointed Sheri Broedlow as the organization’s new vice president of institutional advancement. Broedlow was the chief advancement officer for the Palm Springs Art Museum where she led the development, marketing and communications teams since March 2019. Prior to this, she was a member of the San Diego Symphony’s institutional advancement team from 2017 to 2019. She oversaw the annual membership program that grew 23 percent during her tenure.
