This year’s virtual edition of one of the 34th Annual Tibet House US Virtual Benefit in New York City will combine live and pre-recorded segments. Featured during the livestream will be artistic Director Philip Glass, Eddie Vedder, Phoebe Bridgers, Brittany Howard, Valerie June, Angélique Kidjo, Laurie Anderson, Tenzin Choegyal, and Rubin Kodheli. Also appearing are the Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Jesse Paris Smith, and Marc Anthony Thompson of Chocolate Genius, Inc. with Tessa Thompson and Saori Tsukada. The concert will begin with a personal video message from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. All proceeds support the work of Tibet House US, a non-profit educational institution and cultural embassy founded in 1987 at the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to ensure the survival of the unique Tibetan civilization.
