A fire destroyed an abandoned building in the Palm City neighborhood of San Diego on Sunday morning, a San Diego Fire-Rescue official said.
The structure, which is near the intersection of Iris and Howard avenues, was completely engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived shortly before 10:45 a.m.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause is under investigation, said Battalion Chief David Pilkerton. He said the fire did not spread to any other buildings.
