Airport Launches Daily Nonstop Flights to Santa Barbara Via Alaska Airlines

San Diego Business Journal

Alaska Airlines began offering daily nonstop flights to Santa Barbara from San Diego International Airport today. Alaska Airlines is the only airline to offer nonstop service between the two destinations.

“We welcome the daily service to Santa Barbara and appreciate Alaska Airlines’ commitment to providing service to yet another California destination,” said Kimberly Becker, San Diego County Regional Airport Authority president and CEO. “This nonstop service will provide greater travel flexibility for students, leisure and business travelers heading to California’s Central Coast.”

San Diego International Airport has achieved Airports Council International’s Airport Health Accreditation for it’s “Let’s Go Safely” program which prioritizes the health and safety of passengers, employees and the community through several modifications and improvements at the airport.

San Diego International Airport is the third busiest airport in California. In 2019, the airport welcomed 25-million passengers and offered nonstop flights to destinations worldwide. The airport contributed nearly $12 billion in economic activity in 2019 and supports nearly 116,000 jobs.
