Art of Elan launched this downtown series in 2011 as a “crossfire” of musical and creative ideas. Grammy-nominated flutist, composer, and vocalist Nathalie Joachim presents the West Coast premiere of “HOME,” a one-hour collaborative program that celebrates her Haitian heritage and features voice, strings and flute in colorful new works that, in her words, “explore the concept of home: historically, environmentally, spiritually and physically.” The program includes solo and chamber works by Tania Leon, Jessie Montgomery, Pamela Z, Allison Loggins-Hull, Valerie Coleman and Joachim herself. This is a rare opportunity to see this rising star perform in a stunning new Little Italy venue. $40 Reserved seating, $25 General Admission, $15 General Admission students. All tickets include one drink.
