Woman with autism missing from Chula Vista found safe by Harbor Police

A 47-year-old woman with autism who went missing Sunday from a casino in Chula Vista was found Tuesday evening near downtown San Diego, police said.

San Diego Harbor Police officers found Pang Vue around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on North Harbor Drive near the County Administration Building, according to Chula Vista police Lt. Dan Peak.

“Vue reports leaving voluntarily prior to going missing and there is no evidence of criminal activity,” Peak said. “(She) has been reunited with her family.”

Video surveillance had shown Vue leaving the Seven Mile Casino on Bay Boulevard near F Street about 1:45 a.m. Sunday with an unidentified man, police said. She was last seen being pushed in a wheelchair by the man and heading south on Bay Boulevard.

She was reported missing about 5:35 a.m. that day.

Early Tuesday afternoon, before she was found, Peak said it appeared Vue had struck up a conversation with the man and left with him willingly. The lieutenant added Vue had gone missing in the past.
