Honor Theatre Project: Let’s Talk – Friday, April 9, 2021, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Department will be hosting its 2021 Honor Theatre Project presentation of Let’s Talk, a student-devised, digital one act show. This event will be free to attend, and will be screened outdoors, in the parking lot of the Clairemont Lutheran Church. Let’s Talk addresses some of today’s most prevalent social justice topics through the eyes of teens. Honor Theatre students have written, designed, edited, and performed this piece, investigating issues that they, the next generation, want to explore with their peers as well as the adults in their lives. The students represent nine different high schools (Hoover, La Jolla, Mira Mesa, Morse, Patrick Henry, Point Loma, SDSCPA, Scripps Ranch, and UC High School) from across San Diego. The work has all been done remotely, from their individual homes. This event will adhere to all social distancing guidelines. Masks are required. Seating is outside, in assigned social pods. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Tickets are free or donation based.
